Major Disappointment

The National MVSEVM of the American Peep was not in the top 40 of the Peeps Diorama contest winners. So disappointing. Clearly, the competition was tough.

Well, the Peep museum gave me and you all joy, so the real mission was accomplished!

A travesty. I would demand a recount.

Clio B., I'm really surprised. Here are the winners from the Denver Post's contest:

As you can see, they're very clever but they're not nearly as detailed or as clever as your "National MVSEUM." (And the winner clearly ripped off your museum concept!) In any case, given that these are the winners here, I thought yours was a shoo-in to be a finalist in Washington.

Fortunately, peeps don't really go bad (they just get hard), so I would hang onto your project and submit it to the Denver Post next year!

Absolutely, you was robbed. The detail in your piece was fabulous; you have won the Peep Award of my heart!

They have no taste. . . yours is much more detailed than some of them. And funny...

while i admit that there were some clever ones in the finalists, your's way better than several i saw there. i think there should be a category for professionals and another for others.

Aww, thank you all! (And thank you for responding to my desperate need for pity!)

In all seriousness, the winners were pretty damn cool, although I did note a repetition of two concepts and a distinct theme of t.v. and movies.

Clio, there must have been some subterfuge going on because yours definitely should have WON!

I am hereby starrifying your amazing work (see the about page on my blog if this makes no sense): thus, yours is the only officially starrified diorama in the whole competition. Congrats and cheers!

I agree, yours was much better and more detailed than many in the top 40.

I was sitting in Dulles last night, scavanging pages from the WaPo to read before my flight--and was really pissed there wasn't a copy of the appropriate section to see who won (since I was sure it was you!).

Now I'm more pissed. You was robbed!
