More Obama Kitsch

I cannot travel and not come across some sort of Obama-related Kitsch.

This one is not specifically Obama-related, but I thought it was hilarious. "American History in Chocolate Americana":

See? You can eat little chocolate stamps of the U.S. Capitol, the Liberty Bell, and Mount Rushmore. With that last, not only do white Americans invade native peoples' lands and carve Stalinesque images of their own, Great White Heroes on sacred mountains, but they also then turn those desecrations into tasty treats!

Chocolate seems to be the theme of this installment of Obama Kitsch. Here we have chocolate "Obama Rocks" and "Seeds of Change":

The "Seeds of Change" are, of course, chocolate covered sunflower seeds. I'm not sure what that is supposed to symbolize, or if it is vaguely racist or offensive. I'm sure it is yummy.

Of course, here is what we all need, "A Little Bo Poo" from "The White House":
Made of chocolate covered peanuts, of course. Note the white paw print on the field of blue on the American flag. Did Millie get this type of treatment? Or Sox? Or that feisty little reporter-biter of the second Bush reign?

A friend and I have decided, upon much research at book stores and gift shops -- and bookstores in gift shops -- that we would have a national bestseller with options for History Channel "documentaries" and HBO miniseries if we wrote a book Civil War Generals and their Pets. Was there a Confederate/Union divide over dogs and cats? Or was that an enlisted/officer distinction? Maybe a slave/free state difference? These questions should be investigated -- then marketed with a YouTube video, plush dolls, and chocolate candy poo.

The product in the last picture is mildly disturbing, if you ask me.
