Prompt: Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different – you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful.(Author: Karen Walrond)
No. I can't even express why. Just, no.
Also, someone clearly needs to step away from the bong.

You are not alone, Clio. I, too, found this prompt just plain hideous.
I think I am the world's only dead dog blogger. That makes me beautifully different, doesn't it? Please pass the bong!
Way to problematize, Clio B. I look forward to that post on what pisses you off. Make it a long one!
Um. Yeah. Let's just say it was a good thing I hadn't eaten yet when I saw today's prompt. To touch on my response to YOUR prompt, I've about had it up to HERE with Precious Snowflakes.
I checked out the prompt author's book on Amazon; apparently your difference is also your super power.
Hopefully the prompts get a freaking grip. Self reflection = good; trip to lala land = no thank you.
Not a big fan of the "feel-good" stuff, I assume!
That sounds a little too sappy to me as well, although it to me it would be a refreshing change to think of my differences as mainly positive rather than mainly negative.
I am beautiful and unique in more ways than whoever wrote this prompt could imagine, and I do not need to waste energy and words justifying myself to that person.
What pisses me off: the kind of condescension exhibited by the people who wrote reverb. They think nobody ever reflects upon themselves or has an ounce of creativity. I don't know who their target audience is but it is not me.
What also pisses me off: invasiveness. And the projection of the reverb people into the readers, that they might never have thought of their uniqueness, their beauty, or come up with anything creative, is offensive because it is so invasive. I will be g-d damned if I report on myself to these people, explain to these obviously limited individuals how MUCH I already do that is creative, etc.
Realize: I don't mean no positive thinking, self appreciation exercise would be good. But the prompts would have to be a lot more sophisticated than what these people are coming up with.
